Well, it’s been a while!

Ok. Where do I start? Has it really been that long since I updated my blog?

Busy, busy I guess. But no excuses. I know how many people check in to my site, so forgive me folks, I give my self a dozen lashes with a wet noodle. Zuchini noodle, right?

Have been doing lots of experimenting with diet as late. My TCM and I have managed to determine that blood sugar is at the root of much of my PCO symtoms, as is the importance of exercise. As always, reminder that lifestlye has EVERYTHING to do with how a person feels, and how they behave, and how their health is manifest. So I have been working on consuming veggies, as well as having added a rice protein shake into the daily plan. Still eating high raw, but I’d say my high is about 75% or so. I had to drop back on the roughage due to IBS, but since having added in 100billion cultures of probiotics everyday I am not seeing the rough IBS symtoms like they were before. Since I am having accupuncture 2x a month as well, most of the balancing is happening thru that. I can’t emphasise how glad I am have been willing to start that process!

Working as I do for the leading digestive care company is AWESOME! I love getting to share nutritional information with people. Even though I am not 100% Raw Vegan anymore, I am still able to tout the benefits of this type of diet to others who are going thru digestive trauma. I always emphasize raw foods and how they are regerating, and cleansing. For people such as my self who have issue with too much fiber, I point out how fermentation, enzymes and juicing are key to making raw work. In fact, Brenda Watson, the founder of the company I work for, (Check out her new website, and her PBS special being broadcast NATIONWIDE in August) talks all about the benefits of a healthy diet, rooted in foods which contain fiber, living cultures and lots of live enzymes! It is exciting to see that even as 100% raw has gained more widespread acceptance, there are those in the mainstream who apply the logic that LIVE is HEALTHY! No more packaged and processed snacks, right?

It is mid July here in Sunny Florida, so the heat and humidity has made exercising inside imperative. My company recently moved our offices, so the gym is being upgraded. Till it is complete I have my home treadmill, and I just started using a fitness ball…Now this is a new gadget for me. I have wanted one for years, but only recently purchased it. I do my strength training while balanced on it, either sitting, or with one leg resting on it…try that while doing bicep curls…talk about challenging!

We moved to a new house, in a new town, and I have my own office here, which is nice actually. I am working on my e-book, which I hope to one day offer on this site. With work going as it is going, however, I don’t know how soon that will be…I’ll keep you in the loop, I promise.

I thought I would share my most recent recipe: A few slices of thick cut beefsteak tomatoes, cucumbers, a piece of romaine, drizzle some olive oil, and place on a piece of pumpernickle bread, raw pita or cracker. Perfect for summer, topped with some hummus. Another favorite right now is cherries: Nature’s candy.

Caio.
