Myers Briggs ~ Temperment Type Test…Who am I?

You can take a simple online test HERE.
Have you ever taken this test? T had the book ‘Please Understand Me’ when we first started dating, and I had taken the personality test and it showed me as an ENFJ, which is often described as an Idealist teacher…Now, nigh on ten years later, I take the test and I come up as an ESFP, the performer, artisan, instead.

Besides being concrete in speech and utilitarian in reaching their goals, the Performer Artisans are informative and expressive in their social interactions. Thus, while Performers are usually extreme in their expressiveness and sociability, observably the most expressive of all the types, they are not comfortable telling others what to do, preferring to offer information rather than to issue orders.

Demonstrating or performing is putting on a show to entertain others, and Performers, whether on the job, with friends, or in their families, are the natural performers among the types, people for whom it can truly be said “all the world’s a stage.” Playful and fun-loving, the Performer’ primary social interest lies in stimulating those around them, arousing their senses and their pleasureful emotions-charming them, in a sense, to cast off their concerns and “lighten up.” Representing about ten per cent of the general population, Performers radiate warmth and optimism, and are able to lift others’ spirits with their contagious laughter and their irrepressible joy of living.

It is well that Performers are plentiful, something over ten per cent of the population, because they bring joy to so many of us. They love the excitement of playing to an audience, and they try to generate a sense of “showtime” wherever they are. Performers are not comfortable being alone most of the time, and seek the company of others whenever possible — which they usually find, for they make wonderful playmates. Lively, witty conversationalists, Performers always seem to know the latest jokes and stories, and are quick with wisecracks and wordplay — nothing is so serious or sacred that it can’t be made fun of. Performers also like to live in the fast lane of society, and seem up on latest fads of dress, food, drink, and entertainment, the chic new fashion, the “in” nightclub, the “hot” new musical group. Energetic and uninhibited, Performers create a mood of “eat, drink, and be merry” wherever they go, and life around them can have a continual party-like atmosphere.

HEre is a link to a page that has more about how I supposedly behave, if I am an ESFP: (it lists how I react to stress, how I behave in certain situations, etc. http://www.teamtechnology.co.uk/mb-types/esfp.htm

It is funny, because based on what I read on that teamtechnolgy page, I can really see how this type fits me better than the ‘teacher’ type I had tested as originally. Admittedly, I do see my self as a performer, as one who enjoys the spotlight, and likes to see others enjoy my conversation. But I am not always that way, and I do try to be humble, and to overcome my pride…. But I suppose it can all be relative, and depending upon how i answer the questions, it is different day by day. But to change from an NF to an SF, perhaps I was always a mix of the two?

Today I am feeling a bit mixed. I spoke with Dad last night, who is on day 9 I think of the Master Cleanse. This really inspired me, as I am really feeling the need to cleanse. Nevermind that I have been eating STACKS of dark chocolate, but inside I am just feeling a bit wrong, and I like the clear headed ‘enlightened’ feeling I get when I am fasting. I decided to make up some of the Master Cleanse drink, and although I didn’t start immediatly, I think I am going to commit to at least doing this over the weekend. I am going to be going for a hike with Linda on Sunday, and a concert on Saturday, so we will see if I keep my commitment. I shouldn’t talk like that should I? I mean, that is just as if I said, I am not sure if I am going to commit to it. I am going to commit to it. OK. I said it here. So I am committed to it. So there!

Work is great, my students aced the final, so I am now prepping them for their new position as educators in a territory, and I have begun assisting the sales team in earnest to hire some new staff. I have had tremendous luck with my previous hiring attempts, so many people are leaning on my for assistance in this way. To be honest, I feel like this last educator trainee class showed me my life’s calling! I want to continue to teach and educate! I love watching the growth that my students experience!

On other topics, I ordered a treadmill and it arrived tonight. T is putting it together, and I am not allowed to help. I suppose I would have liked to help. But he is funny about his tools…Men and thier tools! Blah. At least this way I can exercise inside when the weather is awfull and humid, and in the dead heat of summer. These days it is glorious though, so I should probably just take the opportunity to run right outside….Florida in the spring is just optimal!

Once upon a time, I lived in a dark house in a dark canyon in a mixed up state far far away. I was sad and serious, and the shadows of the California winter were as deep as the sea…Now I am happy and smiling, and live in a warm bayside town in the height of spring, with a glorious blue sky and a live oak tree in my yard. I have no reason to be sad…

Who is Cassy?

Who is Cassy?

I follow the works of well known healers such as Bernard Jensen, Anne Wigmore, Norman Walker, and Paul Bragg who showed us the value of obtaining health through the vitamins and minerals obtained in the consumption of a healthy diet. As said Hipocrates, “let our food be our medicine,” I am a firm believer that we are what we eat, and if we eat well, we will be so.

Leading health advocates are telling us that the toxcitity resulting from hormones, pesticides, artificial flavorings & sweetners, and poor food choices are overloading our body’s immune & digestive systems causing untold harm. It is also well known that nutritional deficiencies, however mild, can manifest themselves as disturbing symtoms such as fatigue, emotional distress, skin eruptions and digestive disorders. These early signs of “dis-ease”, left unchecked can contribute to chronic degenerative problems later in life. As a digestive care educator, teacher, and nutritional consultant I love the fact that my career is aobut helping others as they manage thier wellness through proper nutrition and detoxification.
Your own path to health may include diet and lifestyle changes, nutritional supplements, herbal remedies, cleansing and detoxification programs or other healing regimens. it is incredible how a few nutritional & lifestyle changes can make you feel so much better! Treat the underlying causes of your health conditions rather than the symptoms of “dis-ease.” A nutritional consultation will provide you with a dietary analysis addressing your individual needs, as well as addressing any specific concerns you might have on your journey to wellness.

Cabbage, Cabbage, Cabbage…and More Cabbage!

Sat Sep 17, 2005 9:58pm
checking in again…Been eating a lot of cabbage again today…I have eaten over 5 cups of shredded cabbage. I dressed it with a bit of corn salsa and avocado, and it is very much apparent to me that my middle is expanding from all the fiber! I also ate an entire crate of strawberries. (2 or three pints worth.) THose arent helping the situation! Smile

I have been walking instead of running these days. THe jogging seems to be agravating my ankle/foot, so this is the next best thing. Also, walking allows me to better enjoy my surroundings. I am walking for nigh on an hour in the evening, when the air is cooler. Seems like summer will be over soon, though. HEre in FL we are still having 80s, and so one can’t get out during the middle of the day. I am enjoying the sunshine by the pool however.

I am going to try and make some of the eggplant jerky I saw posted online. I love dehydrated marinated eggplant, and I am guessing it will come out similarly. I also find that cutting it into rounds and dehydrating makes for a good ‘bread’ or cracker.

Caio for now,
Cassy
